David Thomas, on hearing this gig back last week, wanted to call it, 'Why Am I Waiting? (Inside The World Of David)' but he lost out as the artwork was already done and that is a LONG title. Here's the background of the gig:
Further to the announcement that Pere Ubu were to be taking to Europe with The MonkeyNet Tour, David Thomas announced that the London show at Borderline, on Saturday 19th May 2018, was to be renamed Grand Guignol to realise his ambition for all nine current members of the band to take to the stage. It was a one-off 3D experience of the full orchestra. This consisted of an international ensemble of David Thomas at the helm, Keith Moline, Gagarin and Darryl Boon from the UK, Gary Siperko, Robert Wheeler, Michele Temple and Steven Mehlman from the USA, with Kristof Hahn (Swans) guesting as he did on the USA tour.
